Since, the ratio of area of land and water = 7:2

 so, we can write,

7x + 2x = 43200

=> 9x = 43200

=> x= 4800

Hence, the area of land = 7x

                                        = 7 x 4800 km

                                         = 33600 square km

So, the area of land represented in the map is 33600 square km.
