A map is drawn with the scale of 1 cm representing 100 km. on this map to places are 1 by 4/5 cm apart. what is the actual distance between the two places? if the actual distance between Mumbai and Delhi is 1428 km, how far apart will there be on the map.​

In map 1cm = 100 km

distance given in map is = 1 4/5 cm

= 9/5 cm = 1.8 cm

distance between two places is 1.8 × 100 = 1800 km

actual distance between mumbai and delhi is = 1428 km

distance in map = actual distance / distance of 1 cm in map

= 1428/100 = 14.28 cm
