a mape is drawn to scale of 1:2000000. the distance between the two towns,a,b on the map is 5cm. what is the actual distance between the two towns

1:200000 means that for every 1 unit(cm for example), it’s 200000 units in actual size.

Therefore, if the cities are 3 cm apart on the map, they’re 3x200000=600000cm=6000m=6km in actual distance.
