A marble tile measures 10 cm* 12 cm. how many tiles will be required to cover a wall of size 3 m* 4 m? also find the total cost of the tiles at the rate of rs 2 per tile.

Total Cost of tiles = Cost of one tile * No of tiles required

No of tiles required = Total area of wall / Area of 1 tile

Area of one tile = 12 * 10 = 120 cm²

1 m = 100 cm, 3 m = 300 cm and 4 m = 400 cm

Area of the wall = 400 * 300 = 120000 cm²

No of tiles required = 120000/120 = 1000 tiles

Total cost of tiles = 1000 * 22.5 = Rs 22500
