A marble tile measures 15cm × 20cm. How many tiles will be required to cover a wall of size 4m × 6m?

Measurement of one tile:

15cm × 20cm

= (15/100 × 20/100 ) m²

= (3/100) m²

Therefore, required no. of tiles=

 \frac{4 \times 6}{ \frac{3}{100} }

4 \times 2 \times 100

800

Therefore 800 tiles would be required to cover the wall.

A tile =15 cm 20cm

Area=15×20

=300cm

=3 m

Wall=4 m× 6m

=400 cm×600 cm

=2, 40, 000 cm

=2400 m

No.of tiles=2400/3

=800 tiles.
