A marchant bought 150 box of a biscuit for Rupees 21750 and paid rupees 150 as transport charge at good price per box should he sell them so as to gain 12% on his total outlay

His total spend = ₹(21750+150)

                         =₹21900

                                                               

∴ 12% of ₹21900 = ₹( 21900×12/100)

                             = ₹(219×12)

                             = ₹2628

∴ To gain 12% he should sell per box of biscuit for = ₹{(21900+2628)/150}

                                                                                   = ₹(24528/150)

                                                                                  = ₹163.52
