Merchant purchases 40 radios at rs. 1200 each. then total cost=1200×40
=48000
She has Rs. 78592.
The remaining money =78592-48000=30592

Given :

A merchant had Rs. 78,592 with her. She placed as order for purchasing 40 radio sets at Rs. 1200 each.

To find :

How much money will remain with her after the purchase?

Using formula :

★ Money remaining = Money merchant have - Total cost.

Calculations :

→ Total cost = 1200 (40)

→ Total cost = 48,000

Using the above values, we get :

→ Money remaining = 78,592 - 48,000

→ Money remaining = 30,592

Therefore, 30592 is the remaining money.
