Mass of the body would remain same but it's weight will be 5/16 times than the earth.

Explanation:

Mass of planet "m" =mₑ/2

Radius of planet "r" = 4 Rₑ

gₑ = Gmₑ/Rₑ²= 10 m/s²

g =Gm /R²

g = Gmₑ/2×16 Rₑ²

gₑ/g = Gmₑ/Rₑ²/Gmₑ/2×16Rₑ² = 32

32 g =gₑ

g =10/32 m/s²

w = m×g

w =10 m/32 N

  • The mass of the body would remain same everywhere
  • but the weight would become 5/16 times than it's weight on earth.
