A mass of 10kg is at a point & on a table.
It is moved to a point B. If the line joining
A and B is horizontal. What is the work dona
on the object wby the gravitational force ?

Answer Zero(0)

Explanation:It is because as the displacement is horizontal the and gravity acts vertically downward. As the formula to calculate work done(W) is W=FxSxcos$ where F= force, S=displacement, and $=angle between forces. As the angle between gravity(vertically downward) and force(its horizontal) the angle between the two forces is 90 degrees and cos 90 degree is zero.So if we substitute it in the formula the work done is zero(FxSxcos90=>FxSx0=>zero)(as anything multiplied by zero is zero).
