A mass of 5 kg is suspended by a strong 10m long. A horizontal force is applied on the mass to pull it 5m from a vertical line through the point of suspension. Find the magnitude of the forces.

Applying triangle law of vector

(F/AB)=(5g/OA)

F=5g×(AB/OA)

=(5×9.8)×(5/10)

=24.5 N
