The equation for this is....

F = - Kx

Where....F = restoring force

K = spring constant

x = displacement

Now negative sign here indicated that the restoring force is acting on the direction that is opposite to the displacement of the spring ....and that is why it is called restoring force....( It tries to bring the spring to its normal position. )
