Dimensions of the match box is

4cm × 2.5 cm × 1.5cm

Now the outer C. S. A =

4 × 2.5 × 1.5

C. S. A = 15cm^2

So the paper will required is = to the.

C. S. A of matchbox

Therefore the paper will required is

= 15 cm^2

Answer:

Length = 4cm

Breadth = 2.5cm

Height = 1.5cm

Therefore, the surface area of matchbox = 2(lb + bh +hl)

Surface area = 2(4*2.5 + 2.5*1.5 + 1.5*4)

=> 2( 10 + 3.75 + 6 )

=> 2( 19.75 )

=> 39.5 cm^2

Therefore area of paper required to cover the matchbox = 39.5 cm^2
