A measuring cylinder contain 50ml. When a stone of mass 50gram is lowered into ameasuring cylinder the water level rises 70 ml. Calculate the density of stone.

Answer:

W= m×g

50= m×10

m= 5g

rise in water level = Volume of body

Volume =(166-156)ml=10ml

density = mass÷volume= 5÷10= 0.5g/cm
