A measuring cylinder contains 50 ml water. When a stone of mass 60 gm is lowered into the

measuring cylinder, the water level rises to 70 ml. Calculate the density of the stone.​

TO FIND :

Calculate the density of the stone.

SOLUTION :

Volume = 1 = 50 ml

Volume = 2 = 70 ml

Now putting formula

Volume = V2 - V1

According to formula now subtract

= 70 - 50

= 20

1 ml = 200 cm*3

we know that ,

density = mass / volume

Now,

60/20

= 3 g/cm^3 Required Answer
