a measuring cylinder has a mass of 120g when empty when it contains 50 cm of a liquid the total mass of the cylinder and tthe liquid is 160g what is the density

The mass of empty cylindrical = 120 g

The mass of cylindrical with liquid = 160 g

=> The mass of liquid =

(mass of cylinder with liquid– mass of empty cylinder)

=> Mass (liquid) = 40 g

& Volume (liquid) = 50 cm³

Therefore,,

Density of liquid = Mass/ Volume

= 40/50

= 4/5

= 0.8 g/cm³
