A medicine capsule is in the shape of a cylinder with two hemispheres stuck to each of its ends. The length of the capsule is 14 mm. and the width is 5 mm. Find its surface area.

Ans = 100.57
2×CSA of hemispheres= 2×2×22/7 × 2.5×2.5mm2
=25×22/7mm2
CSA of cylinder=2×22/7×r×h
=2×22/7×2.5×14
=7×22/7
Total SA = 25×22/7 + 7×22/7
= 100.57
