a) Meera bought two fans for Rs 1200 each. She sold one fan at loss of 2% and
other fan at a profit of 10 % Find the selling price of each fan? Also find the total
profit or loss?​

1.Cost of Fan1  = 1200 and Cost of Fan2  = 1200

Sp of 1 fan at 2%loss =

SP  = 100-L%/100*CP

after putting the values

SP  = 100-2/100*1200

=98/100*1200 = 1176rs

2. SP of Fan2 at 10% Profit

Sp = 100+G%/100*CP

after putting the values 100+10/100*1200

= 110/100*1200 = rs1320

Now

Total SP  = SP of Fan 1 + SP of Fan 2

=1176+1320 = 2496rs

Total CP  = CP of Fan1 + CP of Fan 2

= 1200+1200 = 2400rs.

Here SP>CP , So it is profit

Profit = SP-CP

= 2496-2400 = 96 rs

Profit% = Profit/CP*100

= 96/2400*100  = 4%
