After the G1 phase, the DNA content would get doubled in the S phase, as a result of which 30pg DNA would become 60 pg of DNA. After meiosis I, the DNA content would get halved to give 30pg of DNA and after meiosis II the DNA content would further decrease by a factor of 2 to produce meiocytes with 15 pg of DNA. This is equational division having same number of chromosomes but reduced DNA content.
