Male ganete is a haploid cell (n), hence will have half number of chromosomes as of meiocyte, hence has 8 chromosomes.

PEN is primary endosperm nuclues formed from sec. nuclei and male gamete, hence is triploid in nature (3n). Hence has 3 times no. of chromosomes as compared to any gamete. Hence has 24 chromosomes!
