My memorable night began on 10th November, 2012 – 5 years ago, in Krakow (Poland). Together with my wife we were expecting the birth of our second daughter. As usual we went to bed about 10:00 p.m. Three hours later my wife woke me up and told me that she was probably about to give birth.I quickly called a taxi and we went to the hospital. Immediately my wife was admitted to the birth room. I was with her in the hospital all the time. In the hospital I was disinfected and dressed in special medical sterilized clothes. They were green. When the sun was shining in the sky, at 9:05 a.m. our youngest daughter Sarah was born. It was Sunday, 11th November. Although in Poland at this time of year it is already autumn, it was quite warm and a very sunny day. It was an additionally special day, because on this day National Day  is celebrated in Poland  – Independence Day.When our daughter Sara was born, we celebrated the 94th anniversary of regaining independence after the annexation of Poland by Prussia, Russia and Austria. As family and friends offered us their best wishes for Sara’s birth, they said Sara would be the child of victory. Indeed, she is a very independent and brave girl. It was a very emotional night. I came back home at noon and immediately went to bed.
