\sf \Large Solution!!

\sf \large Given:

\sf \to Profit\%=10\%

\sf \large So,

\sf Let\:the\:CP\:be\:x.

\sf \large Now,

\sf \to SP=\frac{100+Profit\%}{100}\times CP

\sf \to SP=\frac{100+10}{100}\times x

\sf \to SP=\frac{11\cancel 0}{10\cancel 0}\times x

\sf \to SP=\frac{11x}{10}

\sf \large Also\:given\:that,\:if\:he\:would\:have\:sold \sf \large it\:for\:Rs.\:490\:less,\:he\:would\:have\:lost \sf \large 2\%.

\sf \large So,

\sf \to SP=\frac{11x}{10}-490

\sf \to Profit\%=10\%-2\%=8\%

\sf \large Now,

\sf \to CP=\frac{100}{100+Profit\%}\times SP

\sf \to x=\frac{100}{100+8}\times (\frac{11x}{10}-490)

\sf \to x=\frac{10\cancel 0}{108}\times (\frac{11x-4900}{1\cancel 0})

\sf \to x=\frac{5}{54}\times (11x-4900)

\sf \to x=\frac{55x}{54}-\frac{12,250}{27}

\sf \to x=\frac{55x-24,500}{54}

\sf \to 54x=55x-24,500

\sf \to 54x-55x=-24,500

\sf \to -x=-24,500

\sf \to \cancel -x=\cancel -24,500

\sf \to x=24,500

\sf \boxed{\bigstar CP=Rs.\:24,500}
