Hey sup!

As per the question,

Let the total income be x.
Income spent on food=1/3 of x= x/3.
Remaining= x-x/3=2x/3.
Income spent on rent= 1/4 of 2x/3=x/6.
Remaining=2x/3-x/6=x/2.
Income spent on clothes=1/5 of x/2= x/10.
Remaining=x/2-x/10=4x/10.
Also Remaining income=1760Rs.

So, 4x/10=1760.
=>4x=1760×10=17600.
=>x=17600/4.
=>x=4400Rs.

His total income is 4400Rs.

Hope it helps

Answer:

The total income = Rs. 4400

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the income

Amount spent on food  = \frac{1}{3} of his income = \frac{x}{3}

Amount left with him after spending for food = x - \frac{x}{3} = \frac{2x}{3}

Amount spent on rent =  \frac{2x}{3} X\frac{1}{4} = \frac{x}{6}

Amount left with him after spending for food and rent =\frac{2x}{3} -  \frac{x}{6} = \frac{4x-x}{6}= \frac{x}{2}

Amount spent on clothes = \frac{x}{2}X \frac{1}{5}=  \frac{x}{10}

Amount left with him after spending on food, rent and clothes = \frac{x}{2} - \frac{x}{10}= \frac{5x -x}{10} =\frac{4x}{10}

Given, the amount left with him after spending on food rent and clothes = 1760

\frac{4x}{10} = 1760

x =  \frac{17600}{4} = 4400

The total income = Rs. 4400
