A Mendelian’s experiment consists of breeding a pea plant bearing violet flowers with pea plant that bear white flowers. The intermediate colours do not get a chance to appear in the offspring of cross-pollinated pea plants. The result in f1 progeny will be violet flower because it is dominant over the white flower.

mansi161203: how do we get know that violet flowers are dominant?
tanmoyvestige: violet colour is dominant over white in mendelian experiment because when the violet male and white female are crossed then we obtain only Violet colour flowers in the F1 generation.
when F1 is self crossed we obtain white and violet flowers in the genotypic ratio 1:3 respectively
