A merchant bought a sofa set for 18000 . He
sold it to his friend for & 17305. If the
merchant had spent 1300 in transport find
his gain or loss.

Cost price = 18000

Money spent on transport = 1300

Total cost price = 18000 + 1300 = 19300

Selling price = 17305

Cost Price > Selling price

Loss = 19300 - 17305 = 1995
