Total Money = Rs. 78592 (with the merchant)
Total. Cost if 54 bicycles = cost of one bicycle * no. Of bicycles.

Therefore total cost = 54 * 970 = Rs. 52380
Amount left with the merchant after purchase = Total Money - Cost of 54 bicycles.

That is 78592 - 52380 = Rs. 26212

Hope u like my process
=====================
=> Number of bicycles (n) = 54

=> cost of a bicycle (C.P.) = Rs 970

=> totat costs for 54 bicycle = n × C.P.

 = \bf \:54 \times 970 = Rs \: 52380

Thus the amount left with him

 = \bf \: 78592 - 52380 = Rs \: 26212
