Answer:

600kg

Step-by-step explanation:

given total sugar=1000kg

let x is tha part of total sugar sold at 8% profit

so ,profit on x kg = (8/100)*x

rest of 1000kg i,e for (1000-x)kg sold at 18% profit

so, profit on (1000-x)kg = (18/100)×(1000-x)

=(18000-18x)/100

given total profit % =14%

profit on selling 1000 kg =(14/100)*1000

=140

hence, profit on xkg + profit on (1000-x)kg =140

8x/100+(18000-18x)/100 =140

-10x+18000=14000

-10x = -4000

x=400kg

so quantity sold at 18% profit = 1000-x

=600kg
