The answer is 20%

consider he gets 120 cm for the price of 100

but sells 80 cm for the price of 100 and then offers a discount of 20%

so he sells 80 cm for the price of 80

selling price of 80 cm = 80

cost price of 80 cm =(80/120)*100=(200/3)

Gain% = ((S.P-C.P)/C.P)*100 = 20%

Hope it helps you
