Answers
Given:
profit of Rs.10 per bag of basmati rice
loss of Rs.5 per bag of non-basmati rice
i) 3,000 bags of basmati rice ×10=30,000 profit
5,000 bags of non-basmati rice ×5=25,000 loss
30,000−25,000=5,000 net profit
ii) Let x be the number of bags of basmati rice
10x=6,400×5
10x=32,000
x=
10
32000
x=3,200 bags of basmati rice.
