A merry-go-round is accelerated uniformly from
rest and attains an angular speed of 0.5 rad s -1in
the first 10s. If the net applied torque is 2000Nm,
calculate the moment of inertia of the merry-go-
round. What will the angular momentum of the
merry-go-round be after 20 s ? Is the angular
momentum conserved ? Explain.
