A metal ball weighs 1.8kg. The volume of the ball is 250cc. Find the density of the metal.

Mass of the ball = 1.8 kg

volume = 250cc = 250 cm³

1m³ = 10⁶ cm³

So 1cm³ = 10⁻⁶ m³

250cm³ = 250×10⁻⁶ m³= 2.5×10⁻⁴ m³

So volume = 2.5×10⁻⁴ m³

Density = mass/volume = 1.8/2.5×10⁻⁴  kg/m³ = 7.2×10³ kg/m³

Density of metal is 7.2×10³ kg/m³ or 7200 kg/m³.
