 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Find the external volume:

volume = Length x Breadth x Height

Volume = 20 x 12 x 5 = 1200 cm³

.

Find the internal volume:

Length = 20 - 1 - 1 = 18 cm

Breadth = 12 - 1 - 1 = 10 cm

Height = 5 - 1 - 1 = 3 cm

Volume = 18 x 10 x 3 = 540 cm³

.

Find the volume of the metal:

Volume = 1200 - 540 = 660 cm³

.

Answer: The volume of the metal is 660 cm³

 \textbf {Cheers }

HELLO DEAR,

we know:-
\bold{volume\:\; of\:\; cuboid}

= Length x Breadth x Height

Volume = 20 x 12 x 5 = 1200 cm³

now,
the internal volume is

it is given the thickness is 1cm
so,
Length = 20 - 1 - 1 = 18 cm

Breadth = 12 - 1 - 1 = 10 cm

Height = 5 - 1 - 1 = 3 cm

thus,
Volume = 18 x 10 x 3 = 540 cm³

so, the volume required to the metal = 1200 - 540 = 660 cm³

\boxed{\bold{Hence,\:\: the\:\: volume \:\:of \:\:the \:\:metal\:\: is\:\: 660\:\: cm^3}}

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS
