A metal cube of side 12 cm is melted and a cuboid of base 18 cm by 16 cm is formed. Find the height
of the cuboid.

Volume of cube =

therefore, 12x12x12

=1782cm

now, Vol. of cuboid= LBH

= 18x16xh=288h

vol of cube=cuboid

therefore, h=288/1782

=6cm
