volume of bigger metal cube=2933cu.cm
volume of 1st smaller cube = 5^3 = 125 cu.cm
volume of 2nd smaller cube = 4^3 = 64 cu.cm
therefore,
volume of 3rd smaller cube = 2933-(125+64)
= 2933 - 189
= 2744
=> volume of 3rd small cube = a^3 = 2744
so,
edge of the 3rd small cube = cube root of 2744 i.e. = 14
this implies that edge of the 3rd cube = 14cm
volume of 1st smaller cube = 5^3 = 125 cu.cm
volume of 2nd smaller cube = 4^3 = 64 cu.cm
therefore,
volume of 3rd smaller cube = 2933-(125+64)
= 2933 - 189
= 2744
=> volume of 3rd small cube = a^3 = 2744
so,
edge of the 3rd small cube = cube root of 2744 i.e. = 14
this implies that edge of the 3rd cube = 14cm
