A metal M does not liberate hydrogen from acid but react with oxygen to give a black colour product. identify M ?and black colour product and also explain the reaction of M with oxygen​

So it cannot displace hydrogen from HCl. Copper reacts with oxygen to form copper (II) oxide which is black in colour. While the copper don't react with the HCl because of it being a higher reduction potential substance than the hydrogen.Oct 16, 2017
