A metal pipe 3.36m long is to be cut into two in the ratio 6 to 15. Calculate the length of each piece? [ratios and proportions]

Answer:

one piece = 336 cm × 6/21

= 96cm

Another piece = (336 - 96)cm

= 240cm

= 2.40 m
