A metal pipe 3 metre long was found to weigh 7.6kg. What would be the weight of the same kind of 7.8m long pipe?

weight 3 metres metal pipe=7.6kg

weight 1 metre metal pipe=7.6/3

Weight of 7.8 metre long pipe=7.6/3×7.8
That give you 19.76kg

The weight of 3 meter long pipe = 7.6kg

∴ The weight of 1 meter long pipe =37.6kg

Thus, weight of 7.8 meter long pipe =7.8×37.6kg=2.6×7.6 kg=19.76kg
