Answer:

Given Dimension of metal plate = 32cm by 12cm.

area of metal plate=32×12

area=384cm2

Given length of square side =4cm.

area of 1 square cut = 16cm2

Total no of squares made=384/16=24

24 squares will be cut form given metal plate.

Hope it helps you.

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution

 \sf \: Area \:  of \:  metal \:  plate \: =32 \times 12 cm^ 2 \\ \sf  [As, area \:  of \:  angle = length \:   \times  breadth]

 \sf \: Area  \: of  \: each \:  square \: =side^ 2 =4^ 2 =16 cm^ 2

Now,number of cut off squares

  \sf\frac{area  \: of  \: metal \:  plate}{area  \: of  \: each  \: square}   \\  \sf \:  =  \frac{32 \times 12}{16}  \\  \sf \:  = 2 \times 12 \\  \sf \:  = 24
