A metal plate = Length 32 cm, Breadth 12 cm

Each square side = 4 cm

Number of squares (length) = metal plate length ÷ each square side

                                              = 32 ÷ 4

                                              = 8

Number of squares (breadth) = metal plate breadth ÷ each square side

                                                = 12 ÷ 4

                                                = 3

Total number of squares =  Number of squares of plate (length) x Number of squares of plate (breadth)

                                         = 8 x 3

                                         = 24

Hence, 24 squares will be cut from metal plate 32 cm by 12 cm

Here you go...

Given Dimension of metal plate = 32cm by 12cm.

area of metal plate=32×12

area=384cm²

Given length of square side =4cm.

area of 1 square cut = 16cm²

Total no of squares made = 384/16 = 24

24 Square will be cut form given metal plate.
