a metal rod can be balanced on edge of triangular support put under it at a distance of 0.5 m from one end of the rod it can be also balanced on same support at 0.6 m from one end of the rod if body of of mass 0.1 kg is suspended at 0.2 m from other end of rod find rate of rod ? ​

Explanation:

length of rod is 0.5*2=1 m

moment due to 100g weight at 200cm from one end. and 200cm from pivot=200*100 g.cm.....(1)

Say wt of rod=W grams.

This will act at midpoint of rod which is 200 cm from new position of pivot.

So W*200=200*100 =moment due to 100g weight.

W=100g
