Given :-

  • A metal sheet of dimensions 136m*33m
  • Height = 10.5m
  • Radius = 4m

To find :-

  • Numbers of such cylinders that can be cut from the sheet?

Solutions :-

  • Let us consider the no. of hollow cylinder be x

So,

x * CSA of cylinder = Area of metal sheet

x * 2πrh = L * B

→ x * 2 * 22/7 * 4 * 10.5 = 136 * 33

→ x * 44 * 4 * 1.5 = 4488

→ x * 176 * 1.5 = 4488

→ x = 4488 * 10/176 * 15

→ x = 44880/176 * 15

→ x = 255/15

x = 17

Hence,

The numbers of such cylinders that can be cut from the sheet is 17.
