\mathfrak{Answer:-}

It's area always remains the same. So,

\boxed{Area\:of\:rectangle=Area\:of\:Square}

So,

l×b = a²

9×4 = a²

36 = a²

a = 6

The side of square = 6cm

length of rectangle = 9cm

breadth of rectangle =4cm

area of rectangle =l*b =9*4

=36cm2

area of square =area of rectangle

therefore,

area of square = 36cm2

area of square =side *side

36cm2=side2

36=side2

6=side

so, length of side of square =6cm
