here given that the metal sphere has a charge of 8.0 microcoulomb.

Q=pn where p= charge on one proton & n= no.of protons on sphere

So, n=Q/p =8*10^(-6)/(1.6/10*(-19))

n=5*10^(13) protons

now if we add 6*10^(13) electrons then the total charge on sphere will be,

(5-6)*10^(13)p

the total charge on sphere is,

-(1*10^(13)*1.6*10^(-19))

Q'=-1 microcoulomb

Thanks....
