Answer: 30 ohm

Explanation:

Total resistance of wire=60 ohm

When the wire is cut into 3 pieces so resistance of each piece=60/3=20 ohm

Now if two resistances are connected in parallel,so,

1/Rp=1/20+1/20=2/20

Rp=20/2=10 ohm

Now this obtained result and the 20 ohm resistance will be in series,so,

Re=10+20=30 ohm

So, Re=30 ohm
