Metal Y will be more reactive than metal X.

  • The reactivity of any element is one of the most important chemical properties.
  • An element which has higher reactivity is always found in compound state in the environment as it can easily react with other elements to produce compounds.
  • And, an element which has lazer reactivity is mostly found in free state in the environment as it can not easily react with other elements to produce compounds.
  • That's why, metal Y is more reactive than metal X.
