a. The metal is Sodium. Sodium is the most reactive metal and just room temperature is enough for it to react with oxygen and form Sodium Dioxide.

b. 4Na2 + O2  2Na2 O

(When it is exposed in air)

2NA + 2H2 O2NAOH + H2 (When it dissolved in water)

c. Na++ e-Na 2Cl-+ 2e-Cl2.
