surface area of cuboid =2(lb+bh+hl)

l=200cm. b= 50cm h= 100cm

surface area of cuboid = 2(10000+5000+20000)

= 2( 35000 )

= 70000 cm²

cuboid is recasted into cube

=> volume of cube = volume of cuboid

volume of cube = lbh

volume of cube = 200 × 50 × 100 = 1000000 cm³

let side of cube be acm

a³= 1000000

a= 100cm

surface area of cube = 6a²

surface area of cube = 6(100)²

=6(10000)

=60000 cm²

Therefore cuboid has greater surface area

Difference in surface areas = 70000-60000

= 10000cm²
