If it’s Li(s), Na(s), or K(S), it will float and also violently react with water. The volume of those three would be indeterminate unless you knew the density of the metal because the weight of the water displaced equals the weight of the metal (because it floats).

All other metals will sink in water and the volume they displace is simply their own volume.
