a)the metallic ribbon is magnesium ribbon

b) 2Mg +O2------>2MgO

c)the colour of the compound(MgO) is white. & the type of reaction is combination reaction or endothermic reaction.

d)this reaction is exothermic bcz it burns with dazzling white flame.

jassmanakfanclub10: welcome..plz mark it as brainliest:-)
krishnakant8544: boss.. the reaction is highly EXOTHERMIC as it releases a lot of heat madam...
krishnakant8544: they are not allowing my answer they say i have put something rude but i was answering the same thing.. only correct 4th part.. i don't know why its happening..
jassmanakfanclub10: but it is written in this question that we r burning a metallic ribbon so it is clear that it is a endothermic reaction we required heat for this reaction
jassmanakfanclub10: ok we can also consider this exothermic reaction bcz heat & light is also produce when we burn a magnesium ribbon.:-)
krishnakant8544: apni galti nhi man lena aachi baat hoti hai
jassmanakfanclub10: ya:-)
