The dimensions of rectangular metallic sheet are 45cm and 32cm.

original length of metallic sheet = 45 cm

original breadth of metallic sheet = 32 cm

since, a square of side 5cm is cut off from each of its corner then ,

Find the new length:
----------------------------

new length of metallic sheet

= original length - 2 × side of square

45 - 2 × 5 = 45 - 10 = 35 cm

Find the new breadth:
------------------------------

new breadth of metallic sheet

= original breadth - 2 × side of square

= 32 - 2 × 5 = 32 - 10 = 22 cm

since , the remaining sheet is used to make an open box. then

Find the height:
----------------------

height of open box h = side of square = 5cm

thus, the open box that formed will be in a cuboid shape with dimensions ,
32 cm , 22 cm ,and 5 cm.

Find the volume :
-----------------------

volume of open box = volume of cuboid

volume of open box = new length × new breadth × height of open box

= 35cm × 22cm × 5 cm = 3850 cm^3

Answer:
-----------
the volume of open box = 3850cm^3
