A metallic sphere of radius 10.5 cm is melted and then recast into smaller cones each of radius 3.5 cm and height 3 cm .How may cones are obtained?

volume of sphere = 4/3×π×r×r×r

=4/3×22/7×10.5×10.5×10.5

=4851

volume of cone =1/3×π×r×r×h

= 1/3×22/7×3.5×3.5×3

= 38.5

number of cones =volume of sphere/volume of cone

=4851/38.5

=126 answer
